Today’s #OOTD was a total throwback. I had “adopted” this suede number from my mother’s closet a few years back. She wasn’t sure how to wear it. I was overwhelmed by its size. The conditions were perfect. Time for experimentation! Since then, I’ve styled it with hi-waisted denim skirts and well, for today’s look, just a regular pair of jeans.
These earthy tones were the perfect match to spring’s sudden jolt of cold weather. By no means did I want to surrender to the first drop in temperature, but I certainly did not want to go back to bundling up. For accessories, I kept it neutral and understated with a brown leather belt, dainty gold necklace, and a leather Timex watch.
Looking for your own throwback moment? Pittsburgh is filled with fantastic vintage finds and thrift stores. I stopped by the brand new Buffalo Exchange in Pittsburgh (right on East Carson Street in Southside!) and loved every moment of the search. Within just minutes I found a printed romper (#OOTD coming soon!), a leather belt (all of my belts are from consignment shops), and this clutch below.
