This warm weather is hanging on with every ounce of its strength and I’m cherishing every ray of sunshine, every last sip for an iced drink, and keeping my winter clothes at bay. I feel that warm weather, especially unexpected warm weather, creates a certain type of contagious energy. (And I hope to squeeze out every last drop off that energy!) These past few weeks my work/ life/ school/ family/ travel balance have just started heating up! I love being busy, but I am careful not to overdo it. It’s vital to keep the (di)stress far away and focus on the (eu)stress that a packed calendar can bring. Read on below to read for a few ways how I (de)stress and to keep moving forward!
First, I layer and stick to basics. If I could somehow switch my closet so that I could wear a denim, white, or black top and black jeans each day with boots…I would in a heartbeat. I love layering a chambray shirt or flannel over anything. My latest love? Track jackets. But not the type and you remember from middle school or your varsity tennis team! Today’s comeback track jackets are sans preppy athletic stripes and made for fall layering.
Another way my closet helps me keep to my schedule? I don’t get hung up on re-wearing items. Ever! I would rather to take the challenge and figure out how to wear the same top a new way than having to fish for a whole new look. Stay tuned to see this white sleeveless tank styled a completely different way.

Sundays are my “get-it-together” days. I pull out my planner, look through my upcoming week, add in events for the upcoming month and catch up on any missed emails or messages. It limits any surprises and makes Monday mornings much more sweet!
I know I’m going to cause trouble with this one…but the last way I like to de-stress? Some much needed online shopping…enjoy my faves below!
