Spring Ready-To-Wear 2013 reports are in and I have two words for you.

FRINGE. FEST.

From suede shoes to long, tribal skirts, this western movement has been spotted from Urban Outfitters to Saint Laurent, Rodarte, and Tory Burch.  While I am not one to rock mocs, I have decided to take part of this fringe frenzy waist-up. Mismatching patriotism,  I styled my vintage suede, fringe vest with my neon pink British flag t-shirt from French Connection. On the bottom: my favorite pair of denim from American Eagle Outfitters with my Timberland Earth-keepers.

[Glam] Urban Mash-Up

May 16, 2012 in Glam: Style & Trends, Streetlight

Up-cycled Cut-off Denim Vest  meets Boho Babe.

I picked-up this lucky find for a mere £6 at Rokit, a vintage clothing & accessories store that can be found in Covent Garden, England, and whose aisles I became quite familiar with while I was abroad.  Note the military structure of the vest, how it creates a sharp and powerful shoulder, and  how the bottom tapers just gently at the waist.

After some light DIY fraying of the sleeves and seams, I styled this edgy gem with an earthy and feminine bohemian skirt, softening the overall look for my summery day scheduled with a coffee date to see an old friend and one too many errands. Have a gorgeous day! X

{Glam} Watch It!

January 18, 2012 in Glam: Style & Trends, Mens

I am not too much of a jewelry kind of girl. Sticking to the basics, I usually always have a pair of simple studs, perhaps my favorite ring from a past birthday, and an occasional statement necklace to add more interest to simple a top.

Let’s just say my friends would rather raid my closet than my jewelry box. One thing is for sure though, they always turn to me to ask for  the time. I Stephanie, am the keeper of time.

What piece do I always sport on my wrist? A watch.

I love watches, and maybe, just maybe, even more than my obsession with glasses and hats.

* * * * * *

Men and women both share in having that staple watch. That piece that may have broke the bank, may be their only designer item in their drawers, but that piece that represents what type of person they are.

Watch psychology? Maybe!

Let’s try…Class is now in session:

The pale green of this D&G watch is beyond its… time…with nudes and pastels alluding to the the Spring 2012 trend forecast. This Fashionista has an eye for style and may have a preppy, feminine, well-edited all over look.

With a mighty slogan, “Time for Rebels”, Tag Huer is an iconic watch choice for any person who wants advanced technology with a traditional approach. Expect the wearer of this watch to mean business, have a need for adventure, and have great appreciation for the classics.

I have collected a few pieces that have really stuck out to me.

Happy browsing!

The real question is..

How is it that even though I have a watch as part of my daily uniform that I still arrive late to class…?

Maybe next time.
