{Glam} Dare To Relax – SPRING BREAK ’12 Part 1

March 5, 2012 in Glam: Style & Trends

I think I may actually be…bored. I know, right? I am not sure I even know what that is. Is it staring into my closet and organizing it by size, season, and color? (No, that is obviously normal…) Is it having the time to read the first 5 chapters of The Hunger Games before falling asleep? Maybe. Is it my mother telling to me get out of the house and do something, anything, that involves changing out of my pajamas?

Oh no. What’s wrong with me?

Before you become too alarmed, I can assure you I haven’t been gallivanting around my hometown in a matching set of university brand sweatpants, and I promise that I have stopped documenting my cat’s ventures around the house. This may be my first, real spring ‘break’ that I have had in a while, and I must admit, I think I kind of like it.

While I am happily curling-up with a good book and sinking deeper into my sofa, my jet-setting girlfriends are dreaming of sipping fruity margaritas and scouring the internet for the perfect color bikini to show off their tropical tans.

Whichever break you have ahead, sit back and relax – I got you covered.

Here’s to Spring Break 2012 – Dare to Relax

Style 1:

An alternative way to get tan this spring break…

Take One: Bring the adventure to you by simply rocking a pair of these lovely, tan, leopard oxfords. A must-have and a favorite of mine, these shoes are a perfect way to stand tall and stand-out when paired with everyday casual wear.

Take All: Warmth, comfort, and effortless. Complimenting earthy tones tones and ivory hues echo the relaxation you are targeting this spring break.

Checking your bags for Cancun?

{Glam} Watch It!

January 18, 2012 in Glam: Style & Trends, Mens

I am not too much of a jewelry kind of girl. Sticking to the basics, I usually always have a pair of simple studs, perhaps my favorite ring from a past birthday, and an occasional statement necklace to add more interest to simple a top.

Let’s just say my friends would rather raid my closet than my jewelry box. One thing is for sure though, they always turn to me to ask for  the time. I Stephanie, am the keeper of time.

What piece do I always sport on my wrist? A watch.

I love watches, and maybe, just maybe, even more than my obsession with glasses and hats.

* * * * * *

Men and women both share in having that staple watch. That piece that may have broke the bank, may be their only designer item in their drawers, but that piece that represents what type of person they are.

Watch psychology? Maybe!

Let’s try…Class is now in session:

The pale green of this D&G watch is beyond its… time…with nudes and pastels alluding to the the Spring 2012 trend forecast. This Fashionista has an eye for style and may have a preppy, feminine, well-edited all over look.

With a mighty slogan, “Time for Rebels”, Tag Huer is an iconic watch choice for any person who wants advanced technology with a traditional approach. Expect the wearer of this watch to mean business, have a need for adventure, and have great appreciation for the classics.

I have collected a few pieces that have really stuck out to me.

Happy browsing!

The real question is..

How is it that even though I have a watch as part of my daily uniform that I still arrive late to class…?

Maybe next time.
